    The total equity value of a public company which is determined by multiplying the company's total common shares outstanding by the market price of the shares as of a particular date. The term implied market cap is sometimes used to refer to the market cap of an UPREIT or a DownREIT that has operating parntership units outstanding that are convertible into common shares. The "implied market cap" takes the value of these units into account.
